What You Can Expect?

ProcedureWhat does the procedure entail?

The Morpheus8 treatment uses microneedles to penetrate the skin’s surface, delivering radiofrequency energy deep into the skin and fat layers. This combination stimulates collagen production, encouraging your skin to heal and rejuvenate naturally.

While the treatment is generally comfortable, a topical anesthetic is applied to ensure minimal discomfort. After the numbing takes effect, the Morpheus8 handpiece is placed on the targeted area to perform the procedure. The most common areas treated include the face, neck, chest, arms, and abdomen.

Alternatives Are there any alternatives?

Microneedling is a common alternative to Morpheus8. For added benefits, Morpheus 8 can also be combined with IPL treatments.

Recovery What can I expect during recovery?

Morpheus8 is known for its minimal downtime. After treatment, patients often experience mild redness, swelling, or a slight sandpaper-like texture on the skin, which typically resolves in 1-3 days. Sometimes, bruising may occur. If so, they could last up to 2 weeks but can be easily covered with a good concealer. At-home skincare routines, such as products like rO, Illume Exfo Pads, or Illuminate, can further enhance your results.

While social downtime is minimal, it’s important to avoid direct sun exposure and strenuous activities and follow post-procedure care as directed by your provider. Patients can usually resume normal activities quickly, and many notice improvements shortly after treatment.

Long-term results become apparent as collagen production increases over the weeks following the procedure. For optimal results, a series of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended.

Versatility What areas of the body can be treated?

One of Morpheus8’s standout features is its versatility. While it’s commonly used for facial rejuvenation, it’s also highly effective for body treatments. Areas like the neck, chest, arms, abdomen, and thighs can all benefit from this treatment. By targeting skin and deeper tissue layers, Morpheus8 can tighten skin and improve contours in these areas.
