What is an Armlift?

This procedure will remove excess hanging skin and or fat from the upper arm.

What can patients expect?

Patients can expect Improved and more proportionate contour to the upper arm.

How is a Brachioplasty performed?

An incision extends from the elbow up to the arm pit. Liposuction is often used in conjunction with the procedure.

What is the recovery process?

There are drains for a couple of days.  A garment is worn to help support the surgical site.

Are there any alternatives?

Weight loss alone may make the hanging worse.  Liposuction alone may also make the hanging worse.

Are there any risks?

The scar is long and can be noticeable.  Attempts are made to conceal the scar within the inner arm.  Removal of too much tissue will result in a spread scar and contour that is distorting and not smooth.
