It inhibits the muscular contraction, and thus relaxes the muscles in the face that promote these dynamic wrinkles.  Areas typically treated include glabella (area between the eyebrows), crows feet, forehead and even the lips to reduce creases.  BOTOX Cosmetic is also used in the treatment of hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating).  When used in combination with facial fillers, the effect of BOTOX can be prolonged.
